Alexandra Dětinská is a native of Prague, and Prague is also her great inspiration. Old Prague, of course. In her picture we find Kampa, Nový svět and Baráčnická rychta and views of woodentiled roofs and well-known figures in even better-known windows - some in negligees and others in tails... all pervaded by a magnificent hyperbole, a joie de vivre and desire to dispence well-being. There is a circled "C" it the works, large and small, of Alexandra Dětinská, born in 1969 and a dental technician by profession, whereby she claims the copyright on pictures painted with happiness.
In the year 1998 she was awarded the George Kasper´s Prize at an International exhibition in Morges, Switzerland
